The TRUTH about Pit Bulls

Pit Bulls have never been bred for human aggression.  Human aggression and Dog aggression are two very different types of aggression.  Pit bulls like all other breeds can become mean through irresponsible ownership.

On temperament tests conducted by the American Temperament Test Society the American Pit Bull Terrier scored 83.8%.  This is higher than the 78.2% score of the beagles and the 83.2% score of the goldren retrievers.

Pit Bulls do not have lock jaw
.  According the Dr. Brisbin of the University of Georgia, "The few studies which have been conducted of the structure of the skulls, mandibles and teeth of pit bulls how that, in proportion to their size, their jaw structure and thus its inferred functional morpholoy, is no different than that of any breed of dog.  There is absolutly no evidence for the existence of any kind of "locking mechanism" tunique to the struction of the jaw and /or teeth of the APBR."
